Check the wiring harness..I had issues with mine this spring. Everything worked perfect for a week straight, got a rain system lost a few days then the issues started, first the valve wouldn’t close then wouldn’t open. Started diagnosing and found a connection I forgot was there and pulled apart to find 2 corroded pins, cleaned them up and back to work I went
