The problem may be getting the shaft out. I have had them in the shop press and 20 tons wouldn't budge some of them. Finally bent the shaft so I ended up torching it off on each end. Once you get it cleaned up, then you can disassemble the large hollow spindle that still has the remains of the shaft in it. Hopefully the depth adjuster shaft will press out with some heat to the hollow spindle shaft. If not, that piece is replaceable.
