nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek..
I did it 6 years ago, visited the agent, we did not walk the field or any thing. First year I owned the farm so rules were that I could choose what crop was going to be planted, corn of course. Sowed some oats, pattern tiled it that summer. Put a high rate of P and K and lime on it. All was well, high producer since then.
