Farming used to be a lot of risk, take small bites.

Govt policy that drives Ag consolidation and bigger business models and a rapidly changing economy has changed some parts of that, other parts not so much.

We need to keep the long term planning in mind. In the best of times some big outfits that forgot the long term goals flamed out as was documented here the past decade.

Maybe treated seed isn’t the best deal after all. Maybe allowing some flexibility on planting options is a good idea, on some acres anyhow not all inputs put on in fall. Maybe..... lots of things.

We need to think long term, flexible.

These are not good times, the weather has been atrocious for several years now. Best of luck to all.
