NW Ohio,near Findlay | Years ago, we had a John Deere self loading scraper. Had four U Joints and our problem was the outside snap rings would break, wear and the snap ring would pop out and the cap would come out and wear the yoke. We installed flat washers on top the the snap ring and big diameter washer on top and weld it. Best thing we ever did, cap stayed in place. Later models had a bigger yoke with inside snap rings and that was the best. | |
