Southern Idaho | Wheat hay? Here in Idaho we sell our wheat straw for $30 per ton the last two years after threshing it. I believe something like $18 per bale? But depends on the size of bale. We learned it is better to sell by the ton than by the bale because guys will bale them long and heavy if they pay by the bale. We get a couple tons per acre at least on 160 bushel irrigated wheat but you'd probably get less than 1/4 of that on 50 bushel wheat. This price is for the buyer to bale it and haul it.
