Real nice straw . Rotary combine an roto cut baler. Square or round. Its close to 20 cents a pound here rite now. Most stuff that i seen get trucked in is ugly conventional straw that about same as buying sticks. Very course no fines at all. Then the guys from west dont know why its the cheapest stuff at the sale. Ontario has a unique straw market.

We're of the opposite argument for our beef cattle. Long conventional is nicer to bed, makes a more cushioned dry manure pack and can be baled with a hardcore baler which allows you to make a denser bale, that can be handled more often without splitting, and will store better. The dust can be a pain to the cows too as it embeds itself in the fur and their constantly itchy. We only like the short rotary straw for the ducks as they drag the long straw around with their legs. But even there the rotary straw we got off my uncle that came out of their 2388s is still pretty long, same as straw we've gotten off a 580r lexion.
