West Union, Illinois | dmax2001 - Shower vent should not exit into roof vent, it will eventually rot the wood in the area and probably freeze in the winter. It would not meet code as you have it now.
This got me to thinking. Dad and Mom built a house in 1973 with the bathroom exhaust venting directly into the vented attic space. There are no roof vents, just ventilated ridge cap and perforated soffits. To my knowledge there has never been a moisture or mold problem. |
