Subject: Grade control for surface leveling

I am looking at getting something for grade control, on a blade for surface work.

The plan is to use optisurface to create domed fields to surface drain the water into surrounding ditches.

Is optisurface the only software that can do this? Or are there others like gk? I know I could do it with qgis, but I am having trouble trying to figure out how to set up a script to do what I want to.

Back to the question,

AMW, AGPS, Trimble, etc have all evolved since the topic was last discussed on here. What would be the most cost effective option?

I already have RTK on a tile plow so I would like to use that instead of buying another rtk globe.

My other thought was to setup a raspberry pi if optisurface was able to export to a generic shape file or something that the pi could compute.

What does everyone use?
Thanks
Chris
