You don't say how long you have been farming this 100 acres. I am going to presume "not very long". Be patient. Make your "beginner mistakes" on this 100 acres. Make sure you can handle this 100 acres, and make a profit doing so. More land will come with time, when you can prove you are profitable with what you currently have. When you graduate from college, don't be unwilling to get an off-farm job for a few years. If you pick the right job, it will provide valuable experience to learn from others. And you may gain invaluable contacts that will benefit you down the road. When you do go to farming full-time. |
