Okay, I use Outlook as my default email program so that's the difference.
By entire spreadsheet, I'm assuming you mean whatever is on the sheet you are looking at. Save to pdf doesn't include multiple sheets unless you have them selected first.
In order to only save part of a sheet to pdf, you need to set the Print area first (Page Setup menu). Save to pdf only includes that area.
