If you are looking for a fool proof option Trimble has a Sierra Wireless GX450 modem setup for NTRIP for around $1250. Get the international version if you want to use US Cellular.
You sound rather tech competent so you could just get an android tablet, a parani sd1000 dongle, and use lances app.
