you mount them, feed 12v to them to disengage them. knowing this you can connect them to most brands of planter hardware, even done it with a spray section controller once, and had another customer, put switches in a lunch box in the cab and control them manually. Mounted them on a 8 row deere mechanical planter once built on a CLAAS linear hay swather chassis with accord seeder delivering fert....lol
most clutches work per row, so it all or nothing price wise, the little surestop is a winner because you don't need other stuff like compressors etc
