In that situation you wouldn't be exporting GPS (or nmea) to the hiniker. The hiniker wants to see pulses like a radar puts out. In the monitors before the 2050 (fmx, cfx) this was an option in the menus to export radar off a certain pin on a certain port. I am unsure if the new Trimble displays do this or not.

I agree. I have had various GPS combinations through the years, some have a "radar out" branch and others did not. The Trimble 750 that I had did have a port where an adapter cable could plug in which I did use to a Raven 440. I would bet that the 2050 does also, it may even use the same cable.

If not, a standalone GPS speed only device is available that would plug into the Hiniker and be completely separate from the 2050. I did run a dual combination like that to get radar like speed into the dash of one tractor for a while. These GPS speed only devices are cheaper than a real radar gun. Mine worked fine around trees although I don't have many to deal with.
