South Central MN | I am excited for your wife. We just replaced our original stove we received as a wedding gift...almost 38 years ago. Because we haven't ever had any gas appliances (we heat with wood only), we purchased a GE electric stove with a glass top (I was very leary about the glass top). I LOVE it!!! I don't do a lot of canning, but I do some and plan to purchase a canner with a smooth clad bottom.
