NW Ohio | I would stay with laser. GPS doesn't like slow moving machines. A 600 will dig less than 10 feet per minute at 4' deep in most soils. Also, if you hit rocks, it makes the machine bounce back which makes the GPS think you did a 180 in direction then back again.
Laser is very accurate and easy to learn. You will have a harder time learning the gears on the 600 than the laser system. It has 4 transmissions, main/front/middle/rear. Main is normally ran in 3rd while digging, front and middle control ground speed and rear is in 1st for digging and 4th for roading. You also have a high/neutral/low under the operator stand. People bump this to N and think they lost a gear in a tranny. | |
