It was really no different than selling your nhtc angus feeder cattle to anyone else off the ranch. 44 farms was the buyer, so basically they’re still the middleman in the deal. Going forward I’d imagine they’ll probably require you to use their bulls or something, then that would change things a little. But I still don’t see this being a bad thing, just another option for price discovery. |
