They are trying to cut out the middle man. I don’t know if that will be bad for the cattle man.

Very common for the packer to clear $200 while the feeder has a $50 loss.

If they start buying cattle it will mean I have one more place to sell my cattle. When 3 packers dominate the market a little more competition might be nice, although they are just having a current packer do there butchering.
