Leesburg, Ohio | Pay now or pay later. I choose to pay for the concrete now, and save the higher cost of the incline unload, but more importantly, avoid the cost and downtime of a high-maintenance angle incline unloader. They work fine for the first few years. They wear more quickly than a straight-out auger, and as they wear, they get slow, and they break down easily and frequently.
More fill will be required for the higher base, but the actual concrete yardage should only increase moderately because you are only adding concrete height to the footer/foundation wall. The slab portion would be the same no matter how high the foundation wall is.
We have finally gotten rid of most of our angle/incline unloaders. Life is much easier without those pieces of junk. | |
