Yes, that box is essentially a 5 section relay box. I suspect that Ag Leader may have made theirs with solid state equivalents of mechanical relays but the concept is the same. As the documentation indicates this is not a CAN module although it may look like one. It will not "show" on any CAN diagnostics since it is not a CAN device. It is merely a device that can take in the ON/OFF signal from a common switch or the Ag Leader system and produce the polarity reversing output that some motorized ball valves need.

Raven made one of these several years ago and theirs is probably still available. I just made them myself with as many relays as necessary. A 12V DPDT relay with the outputs wired in the criss-cross fashion like a motor reversing switch will do the trick.
