The link referenced above by AndrewsFamilyFarms indicates that they are typically installed straight across from each other in the back holes. Not sure that it would matter much. I see that there is a left wheel and a right wheel which I hadn't noticed before. The only actual data I've seen on mixing spiked/rubber was from a 2014 Becks study where those particular combinations (Yetter spike/rubber and Dawn Gaugetine/rubber) generally performed poorly. Lots of guys using rubber on one half though so it must work well for some.
