Hydro or gear shift? I had one for about 15 years,(80's and early 90's) decent machine, they aren't that hard to work on, it treated me well.

For 150 acres if you can get it bought CHEAP it could work ok for you for a few years. average auction price on 7700's is around $2000 as far as hours go, its a 40+ year old machine, you can look at wear points like the front of the feeder house where the material flows in around the sides into the throat, it should be straight and square if its low hour, also unloading auger. and other wear items.
