nw pa | what you have is a potato digger. A harvester needs someplace to separate the spuds from clods and stones otherwise the "basket" would fill with everything that went over and bruise the spuds.
Also if you have many rocks you should put another roller on bottom of chain to allow some slack at the nose cone rollers for rocks to fall out of chain. Cause sooner or later one will lodge at the nose cone and break the chain.. then the fun begins
