I think we need to table all this summer calving discussion We are going to flood the market like we did with the grain markets and I like getting my premiums for my grass calves in the spring.


No I like all this talk. Everyone going to later and I'll stick with late January to March. Makes my calves worth more. The way my lots look after 20 inches of snow and 8 inches of mud under that, I wouldn't dream of calving this time.

Maybe when I turn 80 I'll go to later season but I can handle cold a lot better than this crap.

Right now I just can't wrap my head around May and June calving. Those two months are the busiest for planting and haying. Meanwhile January through March I have nothing to do but look at Agtalk......
