If I remember maybe next year we’ll see what brings more money One problem with May 1 start of calving is that if next year is an early warm spring you will be tempted to put the bulls in earlier. BTDT. Then you have a spring like this one the next year and the yoyo starts all over again. I think we need to remember this spring, circle a date on the calendar for bull turnout and stick with it. It is a lot easier to drop back on calving date than it is to pull it forward and a lot easier on most cows. |
