Can I ask what the premise is behind killing off the small grain? I'm gonna assume to maybe give the clover more room to grow? When was the small grain sprayed? Did it have much growth last fall? I would think using oats as an alternative might avoid the grass herbicide, but, maybe you don't get enough winter to kill it?
