ottertail co mn | His visit will not change anythingwith ethanol. He is just trying to get votes set up for 2020, he wants to be part of the swamp. I voted for him but not really to proud of his stance for the American farmer. Time will tell if he was good or just another political head showing up for media attention.
Ethanol is dead in the us, know one cares but less than 1 % of the population. And it seems like half of those don’t care.
It is no longer cool to be a farmer like it was 5-10 years ago. We are just people who get hand outs and have new pickups. Until things change it will stay the same, and it will try to stay the same as long as possible, low cost producers will be the the only winners. Problem is most I know don’t seem to be low cost process.
The saving grace on all things agriculture seem to be hanging by a thread with China. If they decide to come back to us with fast and furious purchases we could see some bumps to the upside.
Natural causes may also help, don’t hold your breath.
I made the choice to put my eggs into this basket, I am not complaining whatsoever. I love what I do. Sure beats the crap out of punching a time clock. Also, I don’t think I am employable anymore
