Depends a lot on your situation of time, acreage, equipment, Labor and what not. But if I was a 1 man band and had some ground going to beans that was dry, I’d set the planter up for beans first and keep planting beans till May 10th or till beans are done. Whichever comes first. Early planes beans I think have more of a yield boost then the corn has yield drag planted a few days past “prime time”.

Guys with 2 planters and 2 sets of labor are probably going to become the norm soon I think.

I was talking with a customer of mine who has went back to drilling beans early rather then planting after corn is done because he has a High School kid he can trust to drill beans after school.

Last year my best beans were my early ones planted while corn planting was still going on.

Neighbors have been running 2 sets of planters and our corn is usually on pace with theirs, but their early beans always kick our later ones butts.

This year my father and I equipped our farms to be able to do both timely.
