Subject: RE: carpet in elementary classrooms

Swaledale, IA
I see no problem with carpet. The rooms will be quieter and the muddy boots get left in the haul. Most do not eat in the class rooms so no spilled milk and there is not a lot of vomiting going on in any of the schools I have ever been at. The do make carpet cleaners that do a nice job. I like the 2' squares that a lot of places use so replacing an area is easier and cheaper. The thought that carpets will only be cleaned every 5 years is I am sure made up as they will be vacuumed at least once a week I bet if not more.
