NW Missouri
Your location matters, or I guess I should say your terrain matters. I pull an 8/15 with a 140 hp MFWD Deutz (weighs about 12k). With the splitters down and the whole thing full of beans (w/ extensions), It claws pretty good going up some of our steepest hills. If your 4440 is weighted down, or you are on gently rolling ground, you'll probably be fine. Corn shouldn't be an issue, even in hills.

Edit to add: all our hills are no-till. We get along fine in tilled bottom ground. Tilled hills, we wouldn't get along too good and would probably need duals or a heavier tractor.
