Subject: RE: Question for Nebraska guys

Central Nebraska

farmcdc - 3/25/2019 17:10 A lot of seed corn production also in Nebraska along I-80. Send companies like as little end rows as possible so more female production acres. Those fields are probably the ones with no cart tracks.

Seed fields tend to not have any end rows by the time harvest comes around.  Depending on field location and varieties being raised there may be male rows bordering the field but they get destroyed by the first week in August.  They also require 40 feet for turning equipment around at each end of the field.  The male rows can be in this 40 feet.  It's also been my experience that there are generally tracks of some sort on a seed field by the end of the year......too much traffic!
