Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border
I would look. at other stuff first. Make sure the mechanicals are good. I have replaced a lot of cables that were causing the same problem. The company I help install for only puts shielded cable up anymore, because of static and interference. We even had a couple of cases where the line was weak from flexing a tiny amount. just an idea.
