Fontanelle, IA | If you do go ahead with the rental deal, I would encourage you to set aside a half million dollars or whatever $$$ amount it would take to retile your 480 acres again 30 years in the future.
During the decommissioning, my guess is that your farm might look like a French WW1 battlefield- I wouldn't expect any tile to work. You probably won't be able to fix existing tile in your field while the solar array is operating... I also thought that solar arrays contained some pretty toxic heavy metals in the guts of the boards that may or may not be "landfill-able".
