mowrystown ohio sw ohio | There is 3 solar panels farms trying to go in around our home here in sw Ohio . To of them is offering $1000.00 to $1200.00 a acre for up to 25 years. The other one next to my house is buying the land for $10,000.00 a acre . They said the taxes on the 3400 acres next to us is around $32.00 a acre now and when the solar panels go into product the land taxes will go to about $670.00 a acre. So I don't think even $1000.00 is euough for the rent plus what type of insurance will the farmer have to pay on top of the property taxes. When done there may be about 5500 acres of panels within 5 miles of my home here in beautiful and SUNNY southwest Ohio about 45 mile east of Cincinnati and 35 miles north of 2 power plant on the Ohio river that is in the process of being shut down. | |
