Couple of guesses on why it is not working:
Do you have any strange characters in your email address? It seems that NAT system does not like special characters such as dollar sign, ampersand, percent, ect...
Are you trying to use a hotmail account? A few years ago, NAT was put on the hotmail spam list and therefore hotmail accounts don't work so good for notifications, but you should be able to list it as a contact email.
I've seen a few have problems with gmail accounts too, but 99% seem to work fine.
