Subject: Corn pree/post application timing question.

Moreauville LA
I see all ideas on applications put into practice. Often following the planter with the application of, say Glyphosate, a residual such as Halex, Zidua, Dual and so on, and atrazine. Some guys come in after sidedress or after stand establishment.

With the advent of RR corn, WHY so early? And there being no presence of resistant grasses. I am in the camp of if my ground is clean at planting, let the crop emerge, catch a rain or two, run the applicator then put out the residual, and get an extra couple weeks of coverage.

What gives??
