central nd | we built a 6 row folding planter with the intention of custom plot work. new intella row units, v sets v drives delta down , keetons, pretty much the works. Was putting on the delta down when I read the manual to say that you need closed center hydraulics for down pressure, so that ruled out my farmall 95 and after looking for alternate small tractors there is only the Ihc 5140 and 5240 series for tractors with closed center. the pto pump option is $6000.00 the whole object of the project was to have a small framed tractor and planter that folded to 8'6", that could be loaded on a tilt bed trailer and down the road easily. So looking for different options for the delta down. The manual also states it could be hooked into the power beyond, so could I use a JD 5085m and hook into the loader connections and function properly. thanks Leon | |
