When running a server-farm with a lot of servers, you don't need a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse for each server.
The system I run has over 130 servers - so having 130 different monitors would take up too much space so we use KVM's. On-screen prompts tell us which server your monitor is running, so you don't muck up something on the wrong server.
What are these parts (pics) ?
