MDU version 1.0.0.76 must have been a Beta. I bought one of the first ones shipped and it ran 1.1.07. I'm now running 1.4.2 on the MDU and 7.6.70 on the EDU.
You'll probably have to ship the Mechanical Drive Unit to Raven to have the MDU updated and I highly recommend you do that. The EDU you can update via a download and a USB flash drive.
