Bremen, KS | Setting up a server on a Pi is much the same as on any other Linux computer. Some things differ like the serial port name that is present on the GPIO pins (assuming the server will access that port) and the older Pis are considerably more limited in processing power and such. If running Raspbian, then most any instructions for configuring a server on Debian will likely apply since Raspbian is a Debian derivative.
