Chebanse, IL..... | If one is trying to compare conventional corn (no bt, no stack, no nothing) performance vs "stacked" variety of the SAME corn, is it going to be a problem to plant them side-by-side? If one takes a 24r planter & puts 1 hopper to conventional and the other to stacked, you end up with 24r of one & 24r of the other.
My question is.....Will cross-pollination influence the yield outcome? I realize most of the Bt event is directed to "below ground" protection & by pollination time it may be immaterial. Damage or not is done by then. But...seed companies often advertise their stacked corns can outyield conventionals with no pests present. So, will cross-pollination influence the final yield check of the 2 corns side-by-side?
