Iowa
Money problems, drinking problems, different guys with different ideas took them in too many different directions.

I think it's the classic case of having one good thing, getting bored or greedy and thinking you can do more and pretty much losing the whole thing.

They still have extensive ai bull battery to buy semen off of but there's so many different breeds in it I don't think I'd ever buy out of it, they can't do a good focused job on so many different breeds

As for what Supa was saying about Ludvigson Stock farms. One of the Ludvigson brothers worked for Leachman watched the rise and fall of them. Ludvigsons had the cash think they got most of the red Angus cows from Leachman and moved on. Ludvigson now is I believe the largest or 2nd largest red Angus seedstock breeder. Moved everything to Montana (might be on old Leachman ground) they still have some ground in Iowa but i was up that way a few years ago and looked like they had a handful of donor cows around the rest is in Montana
