I actually heard some coverage of the floods today on the radio (FOX affiliate). Sad that they don't have time for the fly-over states.

As a side note, a young guy I work with at day job has a good sized herd (swarm? flock? gaggle?) of "meat" goats. Pretty lucrative business. He makes good money raising them.
I mentioned to my wife that we should get a few to eliminate some mowing in the groves. After I got "that look", I decided not push the issue, since she just doesn't have a sense of "adventure" any more. Just as well. If the dog didn't get them, the coyotes would.
I guess we're formally done with livestock now, which ain't all bad.


Coyotes dont mess with goats.


No experience with goats but know that coyotes don't like food that fights back...
A guy I went to high school with has a bunch of sheep and somehow manage to keep them from getting eaten, we have beef cattle here and (so far) the calves get left alone but time will tell.
