North Central Illinois | You are probably right. I haven't worried much about the specific rules since I am pretty much at the top of my watershed.
While it's true that certs are issued from an office multiple states away, there are third party inspectors who schedule an inspection once per year. Usually they pay pretty close attention to what is happening on the ground. This fall I was even lucky enough to be the recipient of a random unannounced inspection and production audit. Better have grain stored where it is stated in your plan, and have records of what has been stored and what products have been applied. Admittedly, the paper trail is what is most important, along with things on the ground looking like they should. So, I'm sure it's possible to slip something by for a while.
I could cheat on my taxes too, but I have to live with my conscience. | |
