Scranton | You can ABSOLUTELY refuse a search, and then they are supposed to go in front a judge and get a search warrant with probable cause. I'd NEVER allow a search, and I've got nothing to hide.
The local town Keystone cops were doing a "safety stop" on the 4 lane through town...I didn't go through it but my kids friends mom did ...this lady is a strait arrow and was coming home from her hospital job and they asked and searched her car. Effing stupid. While there are probably hundreds of cars in the town that might have drugs in them, searching her was a colossal waste of time and infringement of her rights. Its a small town and they know who many of the drug people are, they are just too chicken#### to do anything about them. So they drive around and get people for window tint and seat belts. IMO, many small town copshops are the bottom of the food chain, right next to the DOT wannabe cops who also take themselves way too seriously. | |
