Ohio | This is going to be a huge challenge for commerce , especially ag . Inventory in storage needs hauled and quickly seeds need to be positioned for the new season . This is just a question of what can be placed quickly, not perfectly but functional . Would river fords fit in this scenario ? The military uses this in times of need . Providing that the road up to the bridge is sound , then a simple temporary base to a ford , would let business get to doing business again . It's not perfect but could it provide some form of normalcy until a proper crossing can be established . Where this would probably fit best is those small flowing streams , that come up quick and recede quick . When you Nebraska'ns talk about whole towns being inaccessible , something will have to work quick and be reasonable in cost to provide the basics . Could river fording the tool the settlers used to expand , be used temporarily to bridge this short term inconvenience ? | |
