I'm organic, so I have a few other things going on too. Clover frost seeded with wheat and allowed to grow from wheat harvest until the following spring will grow 140-170 bushel corn with no additional N on 4-5% OM black dirt. 100 lbs of N from manure seems to buy another 30-50 bushels.
Your poor first year alfalfa stand should be worth a little more than clover in my scenario.
