Subject: RE: Waiting to head downstream

Floyd County, Iowa
Got the same thing here. The creek/ditch is full of snow and frozen. The water from the snow melt and rain is just ponding and building up. I have a lot of ground under water/ice. Will be nice when it finally melts the creek/ditch bed and flushes out.
But it's going to head for the Cedar, then the Mississippi, and when all others thaw, too, it's going to add up in the major rivers.
This has been the most miserable winter I can remember. Had some robins and blackbirds yesterday (gone today), so will get at least 3 more snows before it's over.
