I'd build an aluminum "U" frame that mounts from underneath and goes up once past gutters. Then use corner posts attached to the end of the deck. If it's windy, better over build it. Use bolts, no screws or nails that'll work loose. Or you can mount right to the roof like they do with solar panels. Go straight into a rafter for strength.
