Asphalt is half the price of concrete here. We used to pour all our own concrete so I would guess it would be a similar price if we did that.
If you do a pile correctly you will have same or less spoilage than a bag per ton. Piles are a lot quicker to feed out of also. We have all bunkers. We line the walls with plastic and wrap the top with a layer of oxygen barrier and then a layer of black plastic. The only real spoilage area is next to the wall where we cant get close enough without ripping the sidewall plastic. Even this is a small area. I'll see if I have any pics from bunkers when we opened them.
